Our team here could not be more excited for the school to act as an intersection of art and health within our community; the program is led by Dr. Tina McKee, a fantastic and knowledgeable partner in children and adult music education. She believes that music education should be accessible to all students and strives to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment. In addition to her work with Bass Clef, Dr. Tina McKee is a published composer, author, and researcher in the field of music education.

About Bass Clef health services

The Bass Clef team is excited to extend our expertise in the arts to provide a range of health services. Private and class sessions here at the school are with skilled artists and musicians trained in therapeutic techniques focused on emotional wellness and physical health. Special focus is placed on creative expression, engaging custom curriculum, fun activities, and an individualized approach for participants. Coming soon, the school will re-introduce Harmonicas for Health, a class focused on playing harmonicas to help folks with chronic lung diseases in partnership with the COPD Foundation.

Program enrollees will have access to a varied range of art and music health services. From reducing stress and anxiety to championing dexterity, communications, and cognitive strength; the benefits of the arts are diverse and helpful to many conditions and circumstances. The campus provides a creative environment and acts as a gathering place for those interested in learning more about the arts for wellness. Whether it's playing a musical instrument or exploring visual arts, folks will have the opportunity to discover the therapeutic potential of artistic expression. Programs are open to all ages and all experience levels!

A gathering place for all artists

Bass Clef teachers look to establish access to music and art services to individuals of all backgrounds, including those with special needs and specialized arrangements. The school acts as a place of inclusivity and community for all artists; services are tailored to the unique circumstances of each individual in a fun and supportive environment. For those interested in seeing the space, we frequently book a meet-and-greets to explore the campus and get to know your teachers. Feel free to give us a call or stop in to learn more!

To get started at the school and enroll into Medicaid program offerings, we’ll just need a referral from your primary care physician, therapist, or counselor and a bit of paperwork here at the school. Self-payments are also available upon request for those interested.
